• Objectives: In the lab, students will finalize unit plans.
• Homework: Work on unit plan. Submit unit plan for approval by Friday at the latest.

Wednesday, 11/6

• Objectives: Students will continue planning their units. 
• Homework: Work on unit plan. Submit unit plan for approval by Friday at the latest.

Tuesday, 11/5

• Objectives: Literature circle groups assigned based on student's book choice. Students will begin planning their unit.
• Homework: Work on unit plan. Submit unit plan for approval by Friday at the latest.

Monday, 11/4

• Objectives: Introduce new unit (student designed literature circles). Students will choose top three choices for books to read during unit.
• Homework: None

Friday, 11/1

• Objectives: Continue drafting paper, focusing on intro and conclusion and the significance paragraph.
• Homework: Papers due by midnight.

Thursday, 10/31

• Objectives: Continue drafting paper, focusing on epic hero journey (2 paragraphs)
• Homework: Continue working on what was started in class.

Wednesday, 10/30

• Objectives: Start drafting paper, focusing on the qualities of an epic hero (2 paragraphs).
• Homework: Continue working on what was started in class.

 

Tuesday, 10/29

• Objectives: Research for 2 sources to support analysis.  Create citations of sources.
• Homework: Finalize sources and complete any preparatory work necessary to use class time efficiently tomorrow.

Monday, 10/28

• Objectives: Start Epic Hero Analysis paper (learn to apply the formula of an epic to a modern character).
• Homework: Determine character for paper and write thesis.

• Objective: Test over The Odyssey in class tomorrow.
